ASHEVILLE TREETOPS ADVENTURE PARK

Asheville Treetops Adventure Park, an exciting Asheville attraction,  is an aerial challenge course in the trees that has over 77 unique climbing, rolling, walking, jumping, swinging, and rappelling challenges anchored to over 30 trees and towering poles tucked into a wooded park for ages 4 and over. These challenge elements are divided into 7 different aerial adventure trails ranging from beginner to challenging levels.

THE OMNI GROVE PARK INN SPA

It’s worth a trip just to soak in the pools: there are two with waterfalls spilling in from above, and one has a ceiling embedded with 6,500 fiber-optic stars and underwater music. Not to mention the outdoor whirlpool with mountain views.

NAVITAT CANOPY ADVENTURES

If you are looking for a heart pounding thrill head to Mountaintop Tour at Navitat Canopy Adventures. The longest of the ziplines is more than 3600 feet and 350 feet above the forest floor! Navitat has numerous zipline tours to choose from!

HUNTER BANKS FLY FISHING

Established in 1985, Hunter Banks Co is WNC’s original fly fishing specialty store and offers gear, guide trips, on-stream instruction and more. It’s the institution for anglers who appreciate the region’s best trout fishing.

BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY

MOUNT MITCHELL

North of Asheville, NC

Milepost 355.4: Explore the tallest mountain east of the Mississippi River. You can drive nearly all the way to the summit. From the parking area it is just a half-mile hike to reach the observation deck and enjoy the long-range mountain views. Mount Mitchell also has a museum, gift shop, restaurant (open during spring to fall) and restrooms. (35 miles, 1 hour)

CHIMNEY ROCK STATE PARK

431 Main St, Chimney Rock NC

This unique granite formation shoots up over two thousand feet high. Chimney Rock really lives up to its name. You can experience all of its glory from atop the mountain via an elevator. Don’t worry, there’s more amazing sights to see at this gorgeous park. Visit Hickory Nut Falls Trail if you want to check out the magnificent 404 foot waterfall.

WAI MAUNA SUP TOURS AND PADDLEBOARD RENTALS

Wai Mauna SUP Tours offers guided paddleboard tours and self-guided rentals on Asheville’s French Broad River. Enjoy a four mile paddle through Asheville’s River Arts District, a seven mile paddle through the Biltmore Estate, or get paddleboards delivered directly to your lake home! All of the boards are wide and stable and custom tailored for beginners, and you’ll not only learn how to paddleboard from professionally-trained instructors, but you’ll also learn about Asheville’s history as seen from the French Broad River.

PISGAH NATIONAL FOREST

This stop is loaded with exercises and stunning vistas. With several miles of trails and various waterfalls and ponds, the backwoods gives abundant chances to value nature. One of the principal national parks in the nation, made famous when it once had a place with the Biltmore Estate, the recreation center is home to the main ranger service school in the United States and also the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute and Mount Mitchell, the most noteworthy mountain east of the Mississippi River.

Get in touch with your inner tube with Zen Tubing. Enjoy a family-friendly float on the French Broad River in Asheville, NC. They have two locations – Zen Tubing Midtown, located at 608 Riverside Drive, is a groovy trip that floats thru the River Arts District. Zen Tubing South, located at 1648 Brevard Road, has a more nature-oriented vibe with places to hang out on the river. Free shuttle transportation and free parking at each location.
